Ida Lönnfält and Josefine Sandqvist spent two weeks in London to collect data towards their thesis about blockchain technology. The focus in the thesis was the use of blockchains within supply chain management in the fashion industry. By visiting blockchain-events, conducting interviews with a large British fashion company and several experts and start-ups within blockchain technology, they investigated how compatible different kinds of blockchains are with supply chain management within the fashion industry.

Levi Östling and Vincent Thermaenius (not present at the ceremony) spent six weeks in Bangalore, India, where they conducted interviews with 10 FinTech-companies. They investigated how new financial technology – or so called ”FinTech” – can contribute to increase the accessibility of basic financial services, such as open a bank account, get a loan, or easily transfer money to friends and family. Many individuals and small companies in India have a very limited access to these kinds of services.
