As innovation and entrepreneurship become increasingly important for wealth and welfare, a new set of skills and competencies are needed. Not only do we have to push forward our theoretical understanding of these subjects, but new and practical skills have to be taught to future leaders in academia and industry.

Courses and programmes

At the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship you can study single courses at Bachelor’s level. You can also choose to study at one of our two Master’s programmes. We offer one in Innovation (Innovation and Industrial Management) and one in Entrepreneurship(Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship).

You can also do your postgraduate education in innovation and entrepreneurship.

More information about our courses and master's programmes can be found in the menu.

Developing Practical Skills

The institute provides courses and educational programs from undergraduate level to PhD training. The ambition is to provide the best teaching in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship with a focus on practical skills development. The educational portfolio is designed to allow for people with different backgrounds to approach innovation and entrepreneurship from different angles. To do so, it is necessary to integrate various competencies in areas such as management, economics, law and technology. The education at the institute is therefore supported by competencies from other institutions at University of Gothenburg.

Close Interaction with Industry

In addition to a solid theoretical foundation we recognize that educations within these areas have to be developed in close interaction with industry to help students develop practical management skills. The courses and programs are therefore developed and executed together with industry partners. The students are also in most programmess exposed to real business cases to further develop their practical skills.

The institute is a key actor in providing two 2-year master programmes and PhD training for students with diverse backgrounds interested in management of innovation and entrepreneurship.
