Abstract submissions

CMT2017 is now closed for abstracts, both oral and posters.

Digital Proceedings

Both oral and poster abstracts will be included in the digital proceedings that all participants will receive at the beginning of the congress.
Selected presenters at the congress may also be invited to submit full papers to a special issue of the journal Tourism in Marine Environments (TIME) dedicated to CMT2017.

Session formats

Congress participants are given the opportunity to present their research at oral and/or poster sessions. The following provides instructions for providing successful presentations.

Oral presentations

Most of the sessions will consist of oral scientific paper presentations in parallel sessions. Depending on the number of participants, the congress organizers may limit the number of presentations to one oral presentation (participants may be listed as a co-author on more than one presentation).

Parallel sessions will be approximately 90 min long. Each presenter will be given 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions/discussion. Lecture rooms are equipped with computers for Power Point presentations. Make sure you download or upload your presentation to the computer in your lecture room before your session begins to avoid delays. There is a room-keeper in each lecture room, who will assist you with practical matters. If you need to use video/sound, please be in extra good time to test your presentation before the session begins. Each session also has a chair person, who is responsible for time keeping and introducing each presenter. Please introduce yourself to the chair person before your session begins. If you need special equipment for your presentation, please contact the conference organizers in advance.

Poster presentations

CMT also welcomes poster presentations. This is an opportunity for congress attendees to review and discuss your work with you face-to-face. There will be a special poster room in the main building close to main congress rooms. This room will be accessible throughout most of the congress. Make sure your poster is put up latest one hour before the poster session, and please take it down before the closing session Thursday afternoon.

For poster presenters there will be available space to accommodate different size posters, both portrait and landscape oriented. The posters will be fixed on a board or wall by tape or clips that will be provided by the organiser. Please note that the authors are responsible for layout and printing of posters as well as for handouts of the posters.
