About Svante Prado

My research focuses on two areas: The first one deals with Swedish wages and labour markets in a comparative and long-term perspective. To encourage studies within this field, Christer Lundh and I have launched HILD (historical labour data base), which provides the most important parts of the official wage statistics from 1865 until 1990. The second deals with international comparisons of labour productivity in manufacturing, market services and agriculture. Both areas of research are supported by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and Jan Wallanders and Tom Hedelius Stiftelse.
