Inventors who work alone patent more novel inventions

Daniel Ljungberg, Assistant professor at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, attended the DRUID 2017 conference in New York. DRUID is among the world’s leading innovation studies conferences.

At the conference, Daniel presented a paper showing that lone inventors, being those inventors who work alone and/or are organizationally independent, are more likely than teams and organizations to patent highly novel inventions.
